Rooms for Hire

The waterside has a number of rooms available to hire, either for a one-off event or on regular basis. A brief description and pricing for one-off events are below, click the link in the title for more information where available.

Members of affiliated clubs pay 50% of the below charges. Shared use of common facilities may occur.

Main Hall

Our main hall is the largest and most commonly hired room at The Waterside Centre. Approximately 7m x 11m and with high ceilings it is suited to a broad range of events, from wedding receptions to dance classes, presentations to birthday parties, table tennis to talks.

Due to the nature of the building and it's close proximity to residential neighbours, we cannot accept bookings for 18-25-year-old birthday parties.

Hall hire charges: £20 /hour

The lounge has a range of soft seating and low tables, the Bar and Kitchen are both accessed from this room. It is suitable for smaller meetings and social events.

Lounge charges: £5 /hour

Our licensed bar is stocked with bottled and canned drinks, including a wide range of ales plus lagers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks. The bar will be staffed by volunteers from the member clubs and all profits go to The Waterside Centre charity. The lounge must be hired along with the bar.

Lounge and bar charges: £10 /hour

A further room upstairs can be used for training events and other smaller activities. The room has a large screen for presentations.
